I want to talk about faith for a minute.
There are times when we're tested, and it's so easy to fall back into that place where we felt safe. Where things made more sense. Where it all lines up.
But if we stand strong and resilient through those times, if we love our way through it, there is always a calmness, a sense of awe and gratitude that follows.
This photo was from a few moments ago. Nature has a way of showing us to ourselves...if we're watching. Listening. After a dark and stormy afternoon, hibernating indoors with my laptop, I passed a window and saw the strangest glow. I stepped outside to see the sky parted: half still gray, from the passing storm, the heavy clouds still rumbling as they went on their way. And the other half was becoming blue again, illuminated with not one, but two arching rainbows. It was one of those special moments, when you look around, hoping someone else saw it, too. And found it beautiful.
It's a great way of looking at faith. To know that something beautiful waits just beyond the stormy weather. But if your eyes are closed, you miss it. If you don't believe in beautiful things you'll never see them. <3
